Our story

Meet Anton Makarenko

Anton Makarenko is the owner of Ifix Appliances in Triangle. He built the company around one rule: find the actual fault before quoting, tell you what the repair costs, and only then start the work. Every job runs through the same local team — there is no national dispatch line in the middle.

Why we do this

A broken refrigerator or washer is more than an inconvenience — it disrupts your whole week. So the work is organised around getting your household back to normal: a technician who arrives when promised, diagnoses properly, and is straight with you about what the fix really costs.

We take one appliance at a time and finish it properly — a careful diagnosis and the right part, rather than a quick swap that brings us back next month. That covers refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, dishwashers, and more.

We work across the Raleigh–Durham Triangle — 19 towns in 6 counties — on most major brands, from Whirlpool, GE and Samsung to Sub-Zero, Wolf and Thermador. Everything is mobile: our technicians come to your kitchen or laundry room, so there's no hauling an appliance anywhere.

The way we price is the part most people ask about. We diagnose the fault on site, tell you what it will cost as a flat rate, and only start once you've agreed to it. If a repair doesn't make economic sense against a replacement, we'll say so.
